We are seeking a dynamic and creative Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team and contribute to our continued success. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design process, contributing innovative ideas and solutions to a variety of projects. As an Intermediate Interior Designer, you will work closely with senior designers and project managers to develop concepts, produce design documentation, and assist with project coordination. Job Description:
- Under direct supervision of the Interior Design Principal & Lead Architect, you will assist in all project phases including Design Development, Model/ Rendering Building, Procurement, Construction Drawing Drafting, etc.
- Tasks include creating mood boards, hand-drawn design sketches, floor plans, elevations, detailed millwork drawings, and specifications for room finishes.
- Assist with FFE selections, layout discussions, and design documentation with lead designers throughout all phases of interior design work, as required.
- Facilitate communications with vendors to assist design leads in ordering samples, materials, furnishings, etc from vendors.
- Maintain FF&E selections and vendor negotiation within project budgets and time constraints.
- Assist in the design development and documentation of interior spaces, logging communications between clients and lead designers.
- Become familiar with building and life safety codes and apply Interior Design work.
- Produce Interior Design Sketches and perform support functions as directed in conformance with project time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Attend site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress. Provide documentation of conditions, progress, client-facing notes, etc.
- May perform other duties as required.
About You:
- Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's in Interior Design by the hire date.
- Strong creative design portfolio, as well as strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills, and multi-tasking skills, are a must.
- Proficiency with Rhino/ Auto CAD / Sketchup preferred.
- Proficiency with Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
- 1-2 years of relevant Commercial Design Experience
- Must be familiar with project management tools: Notion and Slack
- Mandarin speakers are preferred 说中文者优先!
