This position provides an opportunity for growth in learning about the assembly and fabrication of precision machinery and industrial 3D printers.What You Will Do
  • The position requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to work independently and have some mechanical knowledge. Must be able to follow instructions, work in a team centric environment, and follow safety procedures.
  • Examples of tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Work independently and with a team on defined tasks.
    • Follow verbal and written instructions to fully complete given tasks.
    • Be able to read or learn to read and interpret machine blueprints and assembly drawings.
    • Aid in the preparing of materials for fabrication, including organizing various metal supplies and cutting metal to exact lengths as called out in engineering documents, blueprints, and drawings.
    • Stage materials that are needed for defined tasks and prepare material for assembly.
    • Follow and participate in Job Safety Assessments (JSA): Go over task, Identify Hazards, Eliminate Hazards, Select PPE needed, Determine Job steps, assign job tasks, follow through with JSA, and Complete the task safely.
    • Load and unload materials from vendors and trucks.
    • Assist the Colorado Springs team with shipping and receiving, including preparing items, machines and pallets for shipment and packaging materials for shipment.
    • Maintain a clean work environment, including taking out the trash to external dumpsters, sweeping the shop floor and organizing tools and materials.
QualificationsWhat You Will Bring
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experienced Mechanical Assembler proficient in interpreting complex blueprints and schematics to construct precision mechanical components and assemblies for industrial equipment required
  • Demonstrated expertise in operating a wide range of power tools and hand tools for various applications
  • Skilled at precise measurement techniques using tape measures and other instruments, essential for accurate machine assembly
  • Extensive experience in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and assembly drawings
  • Proficient in the use and calibration of laser alignment systems for high-precision work
  • Understanding of safe working practices.
  • Familiarity with forklifts through either prior certification or previous work around forklifts Class I-V. Certification not necessarily.
Working ConditionsThis is a Full-Time position requiring 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. Some overtime, weekends and evening work may be required in specialized circumstances. The work environment will be in a warehouse/shop environment and may require some work outdoors from time to time.Physical requirementsThis position requires lifting objects up to 50 pounds on a semi-regular basis, standing and or sitting for extended periods of time. You may be required to work in confined spaces, from heights and in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels. This position will require use of Personal Protective Equipment, including wearing a respirator in some instances, gloves, eye protection, hard hats, protective footwear, etc.The 3D Systems Advantage!
  • Salary Range: $21 - $25/hourly (starting payrate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, and alignment with market data)
  • In addition to a salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus based upon company performance.
