/PROJECT:The Intern in Cold Chain Logistics and Good Distribution Practice will report to a manager in the same area and will be responsible for mapping out the shipping containers and controls uses through the organization to fulfill logistics activities in a GDP regulated environment. Some of these controls may include management of shipping solutions, monitoring solutions, and distribution management documentation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Strategic Planning: In collaboration with distribution sites delivery new cold chain solutions that drive efficiencies and cost benefits.
- Supplier and Consumer Liaison: Execute and generate documentation related to Cold Chain Packaging solutions. Establish work instructions and lane assessments for new solutions.
- Quality: Perform and/or track to completion and performance of cold chain logistics for qualification and/or day to day transportation activities.
- Performance Metrics: Identify and support implementation of improvements to the Cold Chain Logistics and Good Distribution Practice systems.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and ISO requirements regarding qualification activities involving cross-functional, multi-departmental teams including Manufacturing, MSAT, Package Development, Process Sciences, Process Development, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and others.
Required Skills:- Proficient in standard MS Office applications.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and analytical skills
- Understanding of quality requirements
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects and self-motivated.
- Supply Chain background
- Presentation preparation and delivery
Desired Skills:- Proven track record in validation activities, both leading and supporting roles.
- Experience in packaging, fill finish, cold chain, supply chain is ideal
- Experience with 3PLs
Qualifications/Eligibility: - Undergraduate student in their 3rd or 4th year of bachelor's degree program or in a Graduate program focusing on Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or other related fields.
- Must be available to work full time, 40 hours a week.
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. based university or college and enrolled in the fall term after the completion of the internship OR have graduated within 1 year of the start of the program.
- Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship for on-site, hybrid roles. Some positions will be open to remote interns, but employee must be within United States borders.
