Description MaineHealth CorporateProfessional - NonclinicalReq #: 14319Full-time: 32-40 hours per weekHybrid (on-site and virtual) or Fully RemoteSummary:The Intern role provides administrative and project support within assigned department, while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.The Center for Health Improvement: Community Health Surveillance and Evaluation (CHSE) We turn data into action, to help measure progress towards MaineHealth's vision of working together so our communities are the healthiest in America. We compile and distribute summaries of local and statewide health-related data to address health priorities or improvements in our communities. In addition, we work collaboratively with healthcare teams throughout the MaineHealth system to provide program/service support with data reporting, analysis and interpretation, applying evidence-based surveillance, evaluation and assessment methods.As part of the Rural Maternal and Obstetrics Management Strategies (RMOMS) grant, all of Maine's rural labor and delivery hospitals in 2022-2023 came together to form the Maine RMOMS Network. The goal of the Network is to improve access to and continuity of maternal and obstetrics care in rural communities through strategies related to telehealth and education and training.The graduate intern will conduct a mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative) approach to further explore the impact of the Maine RMOMS Network. There may be multiple projects involving collecting, reviewing, and analyzing Network member data or project implementation data. In addition, the intern will conduct interviews or brief questionnaires with a subset Network stakeholders or collaborators.The intern may also be able to assist with other CHSE evaluation or quality improvement efforts for a select set of activities. The intern will be expected to gather all results, conduct analyses and provide a presentation of the findings CHSE/RMOMS/MH employees.Other opportunities for the intern may include attending trainings and shadowing team members within CHSE and RMOMS teams.   • Project Slides and PresentationPreference will be given to graduate students who are pursuing public health, program evaluation, statistics, healthcare administration/policy.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)1.
