As an Intern at Axley & Rode, you will apply knowledge of accounting terms and principles to an authentic real-world experience.The Opportunity:The Intern will be responsible for learning and applying their technical skills as part of a team to analyze data, prepare financial reports, and learn about varied accounting activities. Your manager will provide coaching and supervision as you launch your career within our growing practice.The Day-to-Day:
- Develop specialized knowledge in a fast paced environment where no two projects are alike
- Assist with due diligence activities under the supervision of experienced CPAs
- Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, and income statements
- Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
- Learn how to work as part of a team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the firm and our clients.
- Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.
What You Have:
- Pursing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or another related field
- Plan to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation
- Share out values of integrity, respect, accountability, and responsibility
- Excellent critical thinking and analysis skills and ability to identify and solve problems
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
