Summary:The STERIS IT Department is looking for an organized and motivated intern to support IT general control audits and compliance with financial regulations for Summer 2025. This position will evaluate the operating effectiveness of internal controls in IT processes, implement corrections for control deviations, and assess the risk of such deviations.Key Internship Info:

What You'll do as an Intern, Information & Technology Controls Audit: - Support and enhance the IT department's compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
- Test the operating effectiveness of key controls by measuring samples against control attributes
- Work with IT and business personnel to understand processes and deviations and implement appropriate remediation and risk mitigation
- Maintain clear and concise documentation in a highly organized manner with conclusions that are supported by the work performed
- Inform management of audit results
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed: - Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program and have sophomore year requirements completed by May 2025. Majors/coursework in library science, audit, business, communications, or related fields will be beneficial.
- GPA: minimum 3.00
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Familiarity with IT concepts, finance processes, and audit procedures is beneficial, but not required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Critical thinking
- Ability to work in multiple settings, including independently and as part of a cross-functional team
