Forsyth County Bridges to Hope Family Justice Center Department is accepting applications for Spring Semester 2025 internship.
An internship through Bridges to Hopeprovidesan introduction to:
* Client service delivery and the family justice center model of operations
* The broader Health and Human Services campus departments
* Collaboration with internalForsyth County Governmentdepartments
* Partnership andcollaboration with external community partner organizations
* Targeted outreach with professional service providers and Forsyth County residents
* Administrative tasks to supportCountystaff
Onsite work at Bridges to Hope Family Justice Center isrequired.

* Possess a basic understanding of trauma-informed care and basic principles of crisis intervention.

* Have an authentic interest in, and general knowledge of, interpersonal violence including domestic violence, sexual assault, child maltreatment, elder abuse, human trafficking.

* Havedemonstratedknowledge and experience working in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Demonstrate ability to work independently and as a contributing team member.
* Ability to work in a systems level, collaborative environment with community partner organizations.
* Complete required assignments and documents for projectsin a timely manner.
* Participate in required meetings with academic/internshipadvisorand site supervisor.
Minimum Education and Experience
Applicants must meet the following criteria and documentssubmittedby the interview date:
* Be enrolled inthe final year ofaBaccalaureateor Graduate Degree program in ahuman servicescentered course of study/or area pertinent to family justice center workfrom an accredited institutionandbein good academic standing
* Ableto pass a background check and drug test
* Submit completed application,letter of interest, 3 letters of reference/recommendation, transcripts
* Participatein aninterview
* Have a minimum GPA of2.8
* Possessa valid driver's license
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Assiststaff in providing a warm,welcoming,inclusive atmospherethroughout the client experience.
* Assiststaff in collectingdata.
* Assiststaff innavigating thevirtual court process.
* Assiststaff in making referrals to onsite and offsite partner organizations.
* Attend staff and partner meetings where applicable.
* Assiststaffwith intake and client navigation duties as delegated and assigned.
* Participate in targeted outreach efforts.
* Assiststaff withensuring physical environment is prepared for clients, tours, and events.
* Assiststaff in performingtranslation of documents in Spanish as assigned, ifapplicable.
* Have professional interactions with Forsyth County colleagues and partner agency staff.
* Perform other duties as assigned pertinent toCounty/Center mission, vision, and goals.
* Identify, develop, and present project impact for department by internship completion in consultation with Center leaders.
