Job Description:
Construction EstimatorOur Employee-Owned company has immediate full-time openings for a LeadEstimator in the Southeast. This position will work within Industrial,Commercial, Healthcare, and Federal businesses and be part of an amazing andGROWING team! All positions are regular, full-time and benefits eligible.Pay range depending on experience, skills, and knowledge. The Lead Estimator will provide guidance andexpertise to estimator trainees and temporary estimators from the field. Maintains close relations with departments regarding services andestimates.Directs and assists other estimators that may be assigned onan as-needed basis. JobDuties:Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bidmeetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents ofestimate. Prepare disciplined estimates by calculating complete take-off ofscope of work. Coordinate estimating effort relevant to particular estimate asassigned. Review and approve take-off and estimates done by estimators underhim/her. Submit bids and proposals on projects estimated.Prepare breakdown of estimate. Provide estimate information toProject Manager.Prepare reports as requested.Introduce cost saving ideas through redesign (Value Engineeringopportunities). Schedule estimate backlog to determine how many estimators arerequired to complete estimates. Design and do calculations for services, feeders, and branchcircuits for design build estimates.
