**JOB SUMMARY:**
We offer students the opportunity to spend a summer working at one of Securitas' US Operating Centers. This internship program offers undergraduate students with real-world application of business within the North America Shared Services organization. You will participate in a 10-week internship located in Parsippany, New Jersey for 30-35 hours per week working with the Real Estate Operations team. You will have an opportunity to share new perspectives, fresh ideas, specialized strengths, and technical skills to help grow our business and develop your skillset. You will also have an opportunity to present an End-of-Assignment Presentation on the topics you have learned. Successful completion of the internship program could lead to a return internship for the following summer or employment at the organization in the future.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
+ Assist in the annual supplier audit.
+ Assist in the creation and data collection for sustainability reporting including the calculation of utility shares.
+ Learn how to use Smartsheet to create and satisfy additional reporting needs.
+ Outgoing personality willing to make phone calls and obtain required data.
+ Assist in research and execution of various reconciliations of tenant ledgers, operating expenses, payment histories as needed.
+ Provide support in additional areas as needed.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY**
**Education/Experience:**
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
+ Undergraduate students or Degree with a Real Estate, Business, or Accounting major preferred.
+ Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
+ Ability to analyze reports/data and communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
**Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):**
+ Well-organized with good attention to detail, ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive disposition.
+ Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
+ Effective communication skills.
+ Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
+ Ability to use financial systems and standard office applications software effectively.
