Please visit our website at www.naii.com/careers or our LinkedIn page at www.linkedin.com/company/north-atlantic-industries to see what makes us a unique place to work.Summary:As a Software Engineer Automation intern, you will work closely with engineering teams to develop, implement, and optimize automated testing frameworks for software applications, ensuring high-quality code and efficient development pipelines.This Internship is for Summer 2025. There may also be opportunities for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025.Requirements* Design, develop, and implement robust software automation solutions to enhance testing efficiency.* Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze requirements and utilize Test-Driven Development (TDD).* Develop, maintain, and optimize test and frameworks for applications using PyTest and other relevant tools.* Configure and manage automated testing environments utilizing Docker and Linux.* Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments, ensuring stability and performance.* Implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins to automate deployment and testing processes.* Perform root cause analysis for software failures, recommending and implementing technical improvements to enhance system reliability.* Document detailed test results, performance metrics, and system behaviors to support continuous integration and quality assurance.Qualifications and Education Requirements* Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.Other Skills and Abilities* Strong technical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.* Self-motivated and eager to deepen knowledge in software automation, CI/CD processes, and modern development practices.* Proficient in Python and basic working knowledge of C# and C for automating tasks.* Experience with version control systems like Git and familiarity with agile software development methodologies.* Proficiency with automated testing tools, particularly PyTest, and hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and Linux environments is highly desirable.Part-time schedules for internships during: Fall, Winter & Spring.Full-time schedules for Summer internships. (40 hour week) Approx.
