Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, management, finance, or business
Prefer accreditation as a Certified Internal Auditor or a Certified Public Accountant.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to plan and conduct financial and management audits.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals
Understanding of Financial Accounting Resource Guide
Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
Ability to use personal computer to produce required reports
Experience:
Prefer 3 years of auditing experience in an educational entity, or public accounting firm working with education clients.
Description Primary Purpose:
Responsible for planning, direction, and implementing the district's internal audit function. Ensure compliance with accountability standards, laws, regulations, and policies. Provide independent and objective appraisals of financial, data processing, and other relevant matters within the district. Application Procedure Position: Internal Auditor (Part-Time)
