Job Title: Internal Communications Lead, Insights Division – North America

Brief Description of division

By collecting substantial data from across the world, they blend human expertise with technology, making sure we can deliver innovative insights to brands everywhere.

Role Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Internal Communications Lead to drive communications and engagement programs for our Insights Division in the North America region. This will be a critical role in owning the communications efforts across our North America market, one of Kantar's most critical regions. The successful candidate will help deliver creative and impactful communications and engagement programs to inform, inspire, and engage employees across North America.

Additionally, this role will partner with the Global Culture & Engagement team and the other Insights regional communications leads to ensure our Global Insights business has a joined-up and consistent approach across the division and Kantar. This role will own, deliver & execute the overall Insights North America communications and engagement strategy and plan, identifying the right channels, voices, and messages to use.

Responsibilities:

  • Communication Strategy:
    • Partner with the Chief Executive Officer - Insights North America, the Chief People Officer - Insights North America, and other key leaders to develop the narrative supporting business priorities, aligning with the overall global Insights and Kantar narrative and priorities.
    • Develop and deliver a creative and flexible internal communications strategy & plan for the Insights North America business.
    • Ensure effective cascade of all Kantar-wide communications to appropriate North America populations.

  • Communications Cadence:
    • Ongoing development, management & delivery of a communications cadence for the CEO, Insights Americas, and other key executives.
    • Plan and deliver regular leadership calls, ensuring relevant agendas, engaging delivery, and follow-up.
  • Events Management:
    • Own and deliver key communications events, including all-colleague sessions, ensuring engaging and impactful communications across the team.
  • Channel Strategy:
    • Develop & deliver the channel strategy for Insights, North America internal communications, supporting the overall Insights/Kantar internal communications channel/platform approach (Viva Engage, Teams, The Source, our Intranet platform etc.).
  • Engagement Programs:
    • Lead on required engagement programs and events (both virtual and in-person).
    • Champion the use of creative and engaging communication methods and ensure Kantar's central communication tools are used to best effect to drive engagement.
  • Guidance and Support:
    • Create & deliver against communication plans and engagement guidance on key initiatives and transformation programs.
    • Creatively support the North America market, providing guidance, advice, and examples of standard processes to support leaders in developing and driving their local communications plans, ensuring consistency of critical messaging as appropriate.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work with internal communications leads in other regions, Operations, Technology, and Product, and the Group communications team to help shape and deliver global programs into the region.
    • Work with marketing and external communications colleagues to ensure joined-up internal/external campaigns and messaging.
  • Coaching Leaders:
    • Coach leaders on best practice communications, helping the Insights North America leadership team communicate effectively with colleagues, and crafting local market internal communications approaches as required.
  • Writing and Editing:
    • Write and edit North America-wide communications – emails, presentations, announcements, etc

Role requirements

  • 6+ years of strong internal and change communications experience in matrix organizations, with experience in companies that have been through transformational change.
  • Experience working directly with C Suite and helping them communicate as authentic leaders.
  • A creative approach and willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Ability to take ownership of a project from beginning to end and work at pace across multiple projects.
  • Well organized with the ability to develop and deliver impactful communication plans, coordinating across multiple stakeholders
  • A clear understanding of how internal communications can support the people agenda and employee engagement.
  • Ability to think big picture as well as execute against tactical plans
  • Clear, succinct, and engaging copywriting (and editing) skills, with the intuition to flex style to engage with different audiences from different perspectives.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, flexible and agile in responding to change, and able to influence people from across the organization.
  • Ability to talk big-picture communications strategy and deliver the day-to-day tactics.
  • Bachelor's degree
