Job Description:

As an Internal Medicine Physician in the Army, youll diagnose and treat localized ailments and diseases to provide Soldiers with the highest level of direct patient care. Youll also have opportunities to command medical units, conduct medical research, and train medical personnel alongside leading Physicians in the U.S. Army healthcare community.

GRANTS TO PURSUE HIGHER EDUCATION BEFORE JOINING THE ARMYThe Financial Assistance Program (FAP) provides yearly grants and monthly stipends to applicants.

This program could be for you if you looking to become an Internal Medicine Physician

FAP provides you with:An annual grant of up to $45KA monthly stipend of $2,608

Requirements for FAP:Commitment to serve active duty in the Army after finishing your education

Open to physicians at any point during their residency training, such as, Post Graduate Year (PGY) II and above. Must be PGY1 complete and successfully passed all three steps of the USMLE/COMLEX exams on the first attempt. Certain individuals may be eligible to apply in PGY I. A full medical license is required for all applicants entering PGY III.
