Bachelor's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Three years of full time administrative experience in admissions in an academic setting. Must have, keep and maintain the appropriate valid NYS Driver's License; have a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations. Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience working in an international admissions office in a university setting. Experienced with Slate, PeopleSoft, or comparable systems.

Brief Description of Duties:

This position is part of the Graduate Admissions team. Reporting to the Director of Graduate Admissions, the role will oversee the policies and practices governing the processing of applications with a focus on international applications. They will be responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with international recruitment agents and will serve as the Graduate School's international recruitment and admissions liaison.

Duties:

* Assist with the development, implementation, and management of robust international recruitment and admissions strategies, policies, and practices to meet the goals and objectives of the University.

* Maintain an expertise level of understanding the various international academic credentials, equivalencies, and exams for the purpose of application review and admission.

* Represents Stony Brook University to off campus constituents through active membership in international professional organizations. Potential off-campus recruitment travel may be required.

* Establishes and maintains an active communication plan with constituents by conducting virtual information sessions and host/attend meetings with stakeholders and international recruiting agents which are often in different time zones.

* Collaborates with team members, leadership, and partners to ensure operational activities within the office are streamlined and productive, creating efficiencies where needed.

* Complete routine reports related to recruitment and admissions projections and yield.

* Review applications for both international and domestic applicants and render an admission decision.

* Other duties or projects assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.

Special Notes:

This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.

In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $3,087 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
