POSITION SUMMARY

This position is for an International Captain in a FAR part 91 corporate flight department owned and operated by the Sony Corporation of America. This position is based out of Teterboro, New Jersey.

The Captain will be directly responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the company aircraft as well as confirming the airworthiness of that aircraft for each assigned flight. The Captain is the on-site manager and representative of this department and is the final authority as to the conduct of operations of the aircraft when away from home base. The Captain will ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations, Flight Operations Manual (FOM) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual policy and guidance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibility and accountability of the Captain is for the safe conduct of assigned flights. Pilot responsibilities are outlined in the Flight Operations Manual (FOM) and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual. A Captain will perform all duties required when assigned to a trip.

Specific duties include:

* Complying with the authorized Trip Sheet schedule and associated guidance during aircraft operations.

* Providing excellent customer services to passengers.

* Checking weather, all applicable NOTAMs where available, and determining fuel, oil, and oxygen requirements.

* Determining the aircraft weight and balance.

* Ensuring that all flight-planning and ATC filing requirements have been met.

* Ensuring that the aircraft is airworthy, duly registered and that the documentation specified in the FOM are on board the aircraft.

* Ensuring that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers.

* Ensuring an aircraft pre-flight inspection has been properly conducted before departure.

* Briefing the passengers in accordance with the requirements specified in the FOM and SOP.

* Operating the aircraft in accordance with the Aircraft Flight Manual, Aircraft Loading Manual, and the aircraft's published limitations.

* Ensuring compliance with customs, immigration and cabotage laws.

* Timely and accurate communication with Scheduling during an assigned flight.

* Completing all post flight duties, including notification to the company of any deviation from the planned itinerary or overnight location.

* Recording flight times and aircraft defects.

Operational:

* Ensuring that aircraft operations are conducted in accordance with the highest flight safety standards of Federal Aviation Regulations (Part 91), the Aircraft Manufacturer's Flight Manual and the FOM and SOP.

* Utilizing accepted Crew Resource Management procedures.

Administrative:

* Attending all scheduled training events.

* Maintaining and holding (on person) a valid FAA pilot license with appropriate type ratings and English Proficiency Endorsement, First Class Medical Certificate, FCC Radiotelephone Operator Permit.

* Maintaining and holding a valid passport and any required visas as well as current ID Cards required by the FOM.

* Performing operationally related administrative duties in timely and professional manner. These duties may include, but are not limited to, maintaining navigational charts and related databases, and performing aircraft inventories.

Collateral Duties:

* Perform duties as assigned by Chief Pilot.

* Captains may be designated in a collateral assignment as Safety Manager, Standardization Pilot, Training Pilot or Security Manager or as an assistant to one of these positions.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION

Your qualifications and experience should include:

* An Airline Transport Pilot rating with appropriate qualifications for aircraft operated.

* Turbo jet transport category experience with international operations is required.

* Must be able to pass an FAA First Class Medical.

* Must have Global operating experience including extensive experience in Europe and APAC.

* Consideration on flight hour experience will be given for military trained pilots but corporate experience remains desirable.

* Pilot-in-Command experience of an Ultra Long Range category business jet.

* Must be authorized to work in the US.

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $245,000 to $275,000. In addition to the annual base salary, this role has an annual bonus target of 22%, and is eligible for RSUs. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
