**Description**

The International Customer Service Representative is responsible for international logistics tasks including coordinating ocean and air shipment bookings, entering accurate details shipment data into transportation management software, track and trace, entering shipment financial entries into system, communicating with international customers and supporting international account management team.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS**

* Supporting role working in partnership with international account management team in fast paced international logistics environment

* Requesting international multi-mode ocean and air bookings details from international carriers and providers

* Creating shipments and accurate data entry of shipment and booking data details in global transportation management software.

* Coordinate service requirements and standards to vendors and supply chain partners

* Communicate service issues to customer or management via multiple methods of communication: email, messaging or phone calls

* Monitoring and updated shipment status information

* Demonstrate ownership of assigned responsibilities

* Accurate entry of shipment financial details such as carrier costs and customer fees into operating software, posting payments and invoices

* Ensure operational compliance for US regulatory requirements for export and import shipments. Specific instructions for requirements will be shared via in role training

* Maintain international customer profiles and relevant customer information maintained in standard operating procedures

* Assist in all other areas of operations as directed

* Cross-train with team members for continuous education and advancement opportunities

**SKILLS**

* Detail oriented and consistently thorough in task completion

* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment: assessment, prioritization and sense of urgency

* Basic geographical understanding of world map, continents, countries

* Basic understanding of modes of transportation: road, rail, sea, air; exports and imports

* Professional verbal and written communication

* Ability to work independently

* Team player: works well with other team members and proactively offers assistance where needed

* Coachable and adaptable: willing to accept change and feedback on daily work

* Basic knowledge of MS Office software required: Outlook, Word, Excel

**TRAVEL**

* This job does not require travel

**EXPERIENCE**

* 1 to 2 years of customer service, logistics or relatable experience.

**EDUCATION**

* Generally requires an Associates Degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

* Preferred Bachelors degree in business, logistics or other related fields
