Overview:As an International Human Resources Specialist, you will support Japanese expatriates transitioning to the United States by assisting with obtaining social security numbers, driver's licenses, housing searches, school selection, English language instruction, and scheduling medical appointments. Your role ensures a seamless transition for everyone involved!Responsibilities:

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join us as full-time, on-site team members at our new, state-of-the-art factory located in the thriving city of DeSoto, Kansas.

Position Overview: Provide sufficient support to Japanese expatriates and their family for starting a new life in America such as obtaining social security number and drivers license, house hunting, school selection for their kids, English lessons, doctors appointments, etc. This also includes pre-onboarding process such as communication with new expatriates, HRIS registration, laptop/mobile phone order working with IT team

Essential Duties:

  • Conduct new hire orientation/culture difference training for Japanese expatriates regarding with basic knowledge about local area and work environment/rules
  • HR procedure of expatriates arrival and leave (partially collaborating with Regional Headquarters)
  • Run their regular payroll and reimbursement working with local HR payroll team
  • Process tax related events with local HR payroll team and third company
  • Assist VISA application/renewal working with immigration specialist
  • Assist visitors by providing sufficient living and working environments during their stay in the US. This includes arranging hotel accommodations, transportation to and from work site, and other daily living necessities working closely with third company
  • Create and keep improving the support program for visitors
  • Assist HR team on administrative issues related with employees
  • Resolve HR matters in PECNA related to Japanese expatriates and visitors (some cases may collaborate with Japanese HR team.)? ?
  • Take Japanese expatriates to appointments as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:

  • To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred

Education:

  • Basic: High school diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Bachelors degree or 3+ years of working experience in a related field (Degree in Human Resource, International Business or related field are preferred).

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Native level of Japanese speaking/writing/reading skill must be required.
  • Fluency in English and Japanese, both verbal and written, is required.
  • A valid drivers license in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior work experience in Japanese company desired
  • Strong communication skills, verbal/written.
  • Must have the ability to work with employees, visitors etc. within all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and flexibility required.
  • Self-starter
  • Occasionally, this position requires transporting sick visitor or expats to the hospital or doctor appointments using a designated company car, inclusive of the weekends.
  • Up to 10% of domestic travel required for administrative processing (locations include the Bay area, Carson City)
  • Must have valid driver license and reliable transportation to support travel requirements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirement for- specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollments.
