Strong leadership, cultural adaptability, and a deep understanding of international trade regulations and market dynamics are essential.Experience in the craft & hobby, mass merchant, and online sales sectors is highly desired, as this knowledge will enable the successful candidate to identify new opportunities, tailor strategies to specific market segments, and effectively navigate the unique challenges of these channels. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to seek and seize new opportunities while building long-term partnerships that drive sustained growth.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive international sales strategies (distribution, promotion, pricing) in alignment with company objectives.
- Analyze and act on various unique market trends, competitors, and consumer behaviors to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Identify and penetrate new international markets by assessing potential regions and creating market entry strategies.
- Lead business development and distribution initiatives in new and existing markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key international customers, distributors, agents and partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for these countries addressing their concerns and needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as sales support, marketing, supply chain, and finance to support international sales operations.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, tariffs, and local laws.
- Stay updated on legal and financial implications in different countries (import/export restrictions, taxes, etc.).
- Negotiate terms and contracts with customers, distributors, and suppliers to secure deals and long-term partnerships.
- Monitor performance against sales targets and adjust strategies as needed to achieve results.
- Track, analyze, and report on sales/share performance metrics, forecasts, and market feedback.
