Job Summary:The International Logistics Coordinator position is responsible for facilitating communication between production, distribution centers and accounting to ensure accurate dissemination of information. This position is required to prepare documents, manage inventory and maintain detailed records.
Essential Functions (Including but not limited to):- Ensure ocean carrier timely receipt and response of bookings
- Maintaining data integrity and accuracy on all international shipments
- Responsible for weekly service metric review
- Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best logistics solution
- Partner directly with vendors to ensure documentation is completed and uploaded in a timely manner
- Review booking information and coordinate with Production and/or Planning team to meet the customer delivery schedule and satisfy the requested ship dates
- Prepare documentation, maintain records, and coordinate all logistics for product shipment.
- Create and review commercial invoice, packing list, raw materials, statement supplier, statement of waste, transport details, article list for export paperwork.
- Maintaining a data base of export documents required per country
- Verifying all pricing on shipping documents matches to Exenta PO
- Collaborate with Freight vendors to ensure timely deliveries of containers to DC.
- Identify problems or delays related to logistics and report in a timely manner.
- Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions on booking detail to ensure timely delivery of cargo to meet customer dates
- Maintaining an open and effective line of communication with internal partners
- Partner with 3PL to execute the movement of freight from various origin locations to DCs in a timely and cost-efficient manner
- Understanding of US Export Law in order to maintain, submit and verify that the information is in compliance.
- Route POE shipments to ensure customer visibility on cargo departure and arrival times
- Perform any other duties assigned in support of the company needs and operations.
Qualifications/Requirements:- College degree in Supply Chain OR 2-3 years relevant work experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A strong understanding of Import terminologies, i.e., CBM, CBP, MBL, AWB, HAWB, HBL, HTS, ISF, AMS, Payment Terms, Incoterms...etc.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office package to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as required for effective interpersonal communication
- Computer skills with ability to execute reports, analyze data and present information with clarity
- Knowledge of international shipment terminology
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment under critical time frames.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting, multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
This is an onsite position at our New Jersey office. Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 *United Legwear & Apparel Company is interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we do not currently sponsor visas.
