Growing together.The International Privacy Director is responsible for the compliant collection, use, maintenance, and disclosure of personal data, including Personal Identifiable Data pursuant to the Enterprise Privacy Office guidance, legal requirements, and customer contracts.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:Privacy Program Operations & Incident ManagementDraft Personal Data Processing Records (PDPRs) that document privacy risk analysis of business processes, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), and revalidate such records with the assistance from business leadersSupport local lines of business and human capital operations with ongoing Privacy related matters including:Mercury process (e.g. assistance on the classification of vendors as a data controller or a data processor)Privacy by Design services for new product or service developmentParticipate in CPL process for new or modified products or servicesData Retention PolicyPrivacy Policies and ProceduresParticipate in ISO 27001 certification activitiesSupport corporate, segment, and local leadership reporting on Privacy metricsSupport customer RFPs, RFIs, and new acquisitions as requiredParticipation in local audit activities associated with privacy practices and policiesGuide business on Data Subject Access Requests to ensure compliance with the applicable regulatory response requirementsNon-US Governance & Regulatory FilingsAssist with filing annual submissions to country specific databases that is managed by Data Protection Authorities (an online report due annually that details the processing of personal data)Regulatory-Implementation & Acquisition/IntegrationLead or assist in the implementation efforts of complying with new data protection lawsAssist with integration efforts associated with human capital operations and privacy programTraining & AwarenessTrain and promote compliance with the law, best practices and industry standards, and Company requirementsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience in a compliance or privacy related roleExperience in doing risk assessment associated with new products and servicesPreferred Qualifications:IAPP CIPP certificationInternational privacy knowledgeLegal background*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyCalifornia, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, or Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $122,100 to $234,700 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
