International RecruiterThe Office of Enrollment at Florida College is seeking applicants for the position of International Recruiter. This position reports to the VP of Enrollment and Strategic Initiatives and is responsible for the daily activities of Engagement and Recruitment of International students to Florida College.Responsibilities* Recruitment: Actively engage with international prospective students through various channels to promote undergraduate programs. Assist with research and development of the international marketing strategy and implement-approved plans in coordination with admissions and marketing.* Advisory Services: Provide comprehensive guidance to prospective students regarding admission requirements, application procedures, and academic programs, as well as the process of obtaining a student visa, and finding health insurance, and travel information. Assist with transitioning into the United States, maintaining nonimmigrant student status, and resolving other immigration issues as needed.* Financial Aid: Coordinate and monitor a student's financial ability to pay for college throughout the student's time at Florida College. This includes monitoring student grades to ensure that scholarships or other grants are not forfeited due to poor grades.* Application Processing: Manage and process international student applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with admission standards.* Create opportunities for informational and social events to provide support as the students acclimate to a new country and to college. This would include information about immigration, maintaining their status, what documents they need, employment, travel, financial and tax info, how to open a US bank account, how to get a US phone number, how to apply for a driver's license or state ID, protection from scams.* Possess or quickly develop a thorough knowledge of SEVIS, knowledge of F1 visa regulations, and general knowledge of immigration laws and regulations. Maintain the necessary SEVIS documents to keep the college's SEVIS certification. Meet with the SEVIS representative twice a year to go over any issues that have come up regarding the college's certification or individual students.* Familiarity with diverse cultural backgrounds and an understanding of international education systems.
