Essential Job Functions This position reports to the Director of Admissions and plans, develops, coordinates, manages, and executes the recruitment and admissions process for international students (undergraduate and graduate) in alignment with the institution's strategic goals of increasing the volume of international students enrolled at UW-Green Bay. Works closely with the office of Graduate Studies, Student Service Center and Provost's Office to coordinate programs, partnerships, and service to students. Represents UW-Green Bay to prospective students, parents, sponsors, and other key constituents seeking a U.S.-based university degree or educational experience. What You'll Do
  • Develops international recruitment-focused strategic planning initiatives and objectives in alignment with both undergraduate and graduate-level recruitment goals.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Admissions, develops and implements an overall international student recruitment strategy. Implements policies and procedures for the processing of international applications in alignment with the international recruitment strategic plan.
  • Receives, evaluates, and processes student applications according to established policies and procedures.
  • Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships focusing on international student outreach, recruitment, and admission. Oversees partnerships with recruiting agencies, recruiters, and specific schools (international).
  • Oversees the development and implementation of specific marketing and recruitment strategies for international students. Creates targeted communication plans and materials based on established goals. Delivers directed admissions program messaging to internal and external audiences.
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for events to promote the institution.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement. Research and remain up-to-date with the latest data and policy trends impacting international students seeking higher education in the US.
  • Ensures high-quality evaluation of foreign academic credentials. Develop contacts with high schools, colleges/universities, agents, foreign study abroad advisors.
Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree at time of application
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's Degree in international education, business, marketing, or related field
  • 3 years of experience in international education, recruitment or sales
  • Possesses an existing network and relationships within the international education market
  • Fluency in a second language, preferably Chinese, Japanese, Thai or Hindi
  • Familiarity with working in a university environment, ability to work effectively with faculty and administrators
  • Affiliation with international education organizations such as NAFSA: Association of International Educators
  • Skill in reviewing/evaluating foreign transcripts

Conditions of Appointment International and domestic travel will be required. This position requires a varying schedule including occasional evening and weekends dependent on departmental needs. Reliable transportation is required. This position requires some work to be performed in-person, onsite, or at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location with supervisor approval. Position is a full-time Academic Staff appointment. Transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). If you have questions regarding this, please contact Human Resources. Compensation and Benefits SALARY INFORMATION Minimum salary of $49,900. This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). BENEFIT DETAILS The UW System provides an excellent benefits package to meet the diverse needs of its employees. This includes several health insurance options, with annual deductibles as low as $250/individual and $500/family. Our benefits package also includes dental, vision, several life insurance options, AD&D and Accident insurance and Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts. We participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), where employer contributions begin immediately and employees are fully vested after 5 years of service. The UW System also provides supplemental retirement savings programs including a 403(b) and Deferred Compensation. In addition, employees receive several types of paid leave benefits, which are prorated for employees working less than 100%. This includes 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually.
