In This Position, You Will Have the Opportunity to:
  • Accurately and efficiently pick, pack, and ship product, meeting all established productivity and quality goals in place for the current process.
  • Support the shipment of products produced or destined for sale to our customer base
  • Ensure all International documentation is completed properly, in accordance with the unique process of the destination country
  • Monitor orders to ensure we are meeting delivery expectations
o Initiate and arrange alternative carrier pick up as needed and appropriate o Report damage products to the attention of the Supervisor immediately o Communicate order status with Customer Service
  • Create and amend shipments in ERP system
  • Reallocate product to ensure order ships as complete as possible
  • Assist Customer Service with freight estimates
  • Load containers for Freight Forwarders, including adherence to sealing procedures.
  • Proactively manage container capacity during shipment creation to avoid overflows
  • Coordinate with Freight Forwarder and Customer Service of expected load date and time, requesting additional time if needed
  • Reorder supplies as needed
  • Ship raw materials and samples as needs for production / quality and sales
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Report quality concerns of product to supervisor or team leader
  • Maintains 5S work environment-cleanliness and organization
  • Operates Powered Industrial Trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment in a safe manner at all times
  • Attends proper safety training sessions as required and wears PPE in designated areas
  • Proactively solves problems within own work area
  • Understand and properly completes daily safety checks of PIT
What You Need to Succeed in This Position:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 2-4 years' experience working in a distribution center, warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Computer Skills - Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to do basic to intermediate mathematical operations as part of daily work
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication with the ability to read and understand work instructions
  • Must have a positive attitude while maintaining flexibility
  • Able to efficiently manage multiple requests and projects at one time
  • Conscientious, accurate, and detailed-oriented regarding work output
  • Ability to use proper counting, weighing and measuring skills as appropriate
  • Problem Solving - able to perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Must be able to obtain PIT license and operate machinery in a safe manner such as:
    • V-Mast Forklift
    • Power Jack
    • Joey
    • Order Picker
    • Reach Truck
    • Tugger/Pack Mule
    • This includes passing written test and driving test for PIT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, and talk or hear
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Normal or corrected vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Valid Driver's License or proof of a passing, recent vision exam required
  • Normal or corrected hearing abilities
