Paid vacation and sick days.Reporting to the Managing Director, the International Shipping Specialist should have strong analytical, logistical, communication and organizational skills. This person will be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of all international shipment of goods/export processes.Position Details:• Shipping: Conducting international shipment of goods in global environment.• Transportation planning and scheduling: Coordinating schedules and international transportation routes for order deliveries to ensure the fast and efficient movement of goods.• Tracking shipments: Compiling carrier and route assignments, tracking shipments, and updating their status.• Recommends and oversees shipping and logistic objectives and policies.• Working with inter-company entities to ensure streamlined and efficient movement of goods.• Negotiating: Negotiating transportation prices with freight carriers.
- Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in international shipping and logistics operations
- Experience with working in a global trade environment is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer skills: (Microsoft Business Central), Excel, Outlook, Word etc.
- Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
