Through careful examination of the issues affecting business success, our CPAs, CFEs, CFFs, advisors, and auditors develop strategies and solutions to help our clients thrive in today's global economy.Key Responsibilities Opportunity and Qualifications: We are currently seeking candidates at a Manager or Senior Manager level that specialize in International Tax to work out of our Northeast Ohio Offices (Akron, Cleveland and Wooster.) We offer a flexible, hybrid work environment, This position is responsible for assisting clients in identifying and addressing complex international and domestic tax issues. They must provide high-quality and timely client services, build solid relationships with clients and referral sources, and demonstrate professionalism. They will review tax returns and projects done by other tax professionals and be responsible for developing and training other members of the Tax Department in regards to international tax matters. They will also represent clients in dealing with taxing authorities involving international tax issues Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and/or review Forms 926, 1118, 5471, 8858, 8865, 8991, 8992, 8993 and other associated tax return disclosures including calculation of earnings and profits, tested income and foreign income inclusions.
  • Work as a part of multi-disciplinary team helping to provide industry knowledge and experience. This includes, but is not limited to, managing teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects by providing leadership, counseling and career guidance for development and motivation.
  • Build and manage client relationships for clients in diverse industries, including, but not limited to:
  • Advising clients and being responsible for delivering high quality tax service and advice by assisting those clients with the implementation of specific international tax structures and processes
  • Researching and preparing materials for consulting projects related to tax planning and considerations
  • Participate in and contribute to market and business activities external to the firm. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college/university (preferably in accounting, tax or related field)
    • 5+ years of related public accounting experience
    • CPA certification preferred but only required for the Senior Manager level
    • Extensive experience with international tax matters, trends, developments, positions of taxing authorities and concepts such as, Subpart F, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, foreign tax credits and U.S international tax attributes.
    • Strong leadership, organizational and oral and written communication skills, including
      • Experience managing senior-level client relationships
      • Experience participating in strategic planning initiatives
      • Ability to manage, train and mentor others in a fast-paced, team environment
      • Proven business development abilities
      • Software skills, including Microsoft Office
