Position Overview:Our client is seeking a skilled mid-level associate to join their International Trade Compliance (ITC) practice, based in either Washington, DC or New Haven, CT offices. As part of our collaborative team, you will play a crucial role in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), sanctions regulations governed by the Foreign Assets Control, and Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS). Responsibilities will include investigating and drafting voluntary disclosures, and developing and implementing robust compliance policies. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, offering exceptional client service and contributing to the strategic growth of our practice.Qualifications:
- 2-6 years of experience in trade compliance, preferably focusing on ITAR, EAR, sanctions regulations, and CFIUS
- Experience in conducting investigations and drafting voluntary disclosures
- Proven ability to develop and implement compliance policies
- Prior experience in an in-house or government role is advantageous
- Excellent writing skills with attention to detail
- Strong client interaction and communication abilities
