Gorilla Commerceis a US based company looking for the right person to manage and oversee customs operations.The RoleThe International/US Customs Manager will manage the Company's internal item set-up for related customs fields, oversees the customs operations and manages external partners to ensure the timely and accurate movement of goods between international borders according to regulatory requirements.What You'll DoImplement process with internal and external partners for the timely and accurate item setupMaintain system records for all items and update as needed per change in laws or opportunitiesCreate process around the preparation of import/export documentationEnsure compliance with regulations and assist in resolving any issues related to clearanceTrack goods while enroute, ensuring timely resolution of any problems to avoid delaysCoordinate customs clearance activities in an efficient mannerSends information/document requests to company's employees, suppliers, service providers and/or U.S. government agencies as neededCommunicates with specific offices, departments, and teams on all issues affecting customs clearanceCoordinates shipping details with U.S. forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, agents, etc.Skills & QualificationsAt least three years of experience in customs and logisticsExperience in creating process around data managementExcellent English communication proficiency; listening, speaking, reading, and writing skillsStrong data analysis and processing abilityNetSuite system experience preferredProactive, well organized, logical thinking skills with proven ability to drive process improvementExcellent negotiation skills- This is a fully remote position.- Working hours Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm EST#J-18808-Ljbffr
