The Interpreter IV, ASL provides interpreting services for Deaf Professionals affiliated with the University of Rochester. There is the opportunity to accept URMC patient-care interpreting work and on-call work, but this is not required. Interpreting work will include graduate level STEM topics, but is subject to change based on the needs of the individual(s) supported. - - Population Served: - - Any UR Deaf Professional including learners, trainees, faculty, staff, and affiliates. - - RESPONSIBILITIES: - - - - Performs interpreting duties: - - Prepares for and interprets all assignments in a timely and professional manner Fulfills the interpreting needs of Deaf Professionals and provides corresponding availability whenever possible Provides individualized accommodations through an advanced level of interpreting in a variety of settings throughout the Medical Center, Hospital, Central Administration and University Acts as an essential component for successful communication in high visi...Interpreter, Education, Scheduling, University
