Located in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio, Hamilton Local School District is seeking an Intervention Specialist Teacher that is well organized, efficient, and self-motivated. This position will be located at Hamilton Elementary School, a full-time (7.5 hours per day), 185-day contract to begin immediately.
Minimum Qualifications:
A valid K-12 Intervention Specialist Mild/Mod or Mod/Intense Teaching Certificate through the Ohio Department of Education.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
* Provide an educational program for students as defined in the students Individual Education Plan (I.E.P)
* Develops and implements an Individualized Educational Program of each child, complimentary to his/her educational strengths and needs as defined through the multifactored evaluation and I.E.P. process, and Regular Education Curriculum.
* Completes necessary reports and record keeping as required by state and local policies and procedures.
* Works cooperatively with regular classroom teachers, interpreting the abilities and disabilities of these students, assisting in classroom intervention strategies, modifying
general education curricular as necessary, and assisting the student with regular class assignments.
