INTERVENTION TUTOR ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work cooperatively with the principal, subject supervisors and other staff members to develop and implement research-based intervention lessons and activities.
  • Periodically assess students' progress in research based intervention programs.
  • Provide meaningful, appropriate learning experiences for assigned groups of children including differentiated instruction to meet individual needs of children.
  • Maintain a plan book as directed by the principal have daily plans readily available for the use of a substitute in the event of absence.
  • Appropriately, integrate technology into the teaching-learning process.
  • Periodically evaluate children's progress within intervention programs as a basis for planning and reporting to parents.
  • Complete and record students' progress on appropriate records or documents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Pennsylvania teaching certificate - preferred.
  • Submission of pre-employment medical examination (Section 148 of the Pennsylvania School Code) Submission of a report of criminal history record from the Pennsylvania State Police (Section 111 of the Pennsylvania School Code) FBI Criminal History Record
  • Submission of a clearance report from the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare in accordance with Act 151 of 1994
LOCATIONS: Ringing Rocks Elementary SALARY: $24.78/hour starting rate HOURS: 9:15 AM - 3:00 PM Monday through Friday on all student days.
