Job Summary
* This position serves as an assistant to the BCTC Intramural & eSports program to support planning, developing, and implementing the intramural and esports program.
The Intramural & eSports Assistant reports to the Director of Student Engagement.
Job Duties:
* 1. Assist in the research, development, and implementation of the college esports program.
2. Staff the esports center and assist with scheduling and oversight practice games and tournaments.
3. Promote Intramural & eSports at the institution through marketing and advertising.
4. Assist with implementation of team and individual practices/development programs.
5. Supervise and train student workers for intramurals and esports.
6. Follow guidelines to ensure team compliance with all league, conference and institutional rules and regulations.
7. Track and maintain program equipment.
8. Maintain records relative to participation, teams, competitions, and equipment inventory.
9. Attend and supervise intramural and esports events.
10. Promote sportsmanship, integrity, and physical and emotional well-being among student athletes.
11. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with online console or pc gaming.
* Strong computer and digital literacy skills.
* CPR/AED Certified (Desired)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others.
* Commitment to the mission of the comprehensive community and technical college.
