Role Summary

Impex is seeking an experienced Automotive Inventory Acquisition Specialist to join our team at their newest store – Impex Chevrolet Buick GMC in Reidsville, NC (Greater Greensboro). The Inventory Acquisition Specialist will work out of the Reidsville store, and report directly to the GM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the acquisition of automotive inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels, and coordinating with suppliers and customers to meet demand.

Responsibilities

Implement strategies for efficient inventory acquisition and management.

Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.

Monitor inventory levels and analyze demand patterns to anticipate needs.

Utilize analytics and data to optimize inventory control processes.

Coordinate logistics for timely delivery of automotive parts and products.

Implement process improvements to enhance inventory acquisition efficiency.

Work closely with the demand planning team to align inventory levels with market trends.

What You'll Need

High school degree / GED required.

Proven experience (10 years) in Automotive inventory acquisition or related field.

Be responsible for acquiring desirable inventory from auctions, online sources, and from private sellers.

Buy vehicles as mentioned above and become proficient at reading condition reports like Carfax, V-Auto (use and understanding required) and other automotive appraisal and process tools.

Knowledge of the automotive industry, auto dealership environment and trends.

Level-headed, Action-biased Orientation, Collaborative, and Team Oriented.

Strong Analytical Skills with proficiency in Data-Driven Decision-Making.

Knowledge of Inventory Control, Quality Management, and Process Improvement techniques.

Excellent Communication (written and verbal) and Negotiation Skills.

Purchase and appraise used car inventory; Perform Vehicle Condition Assessments.

Ability to work in an office setting, inside an auction facility, and remotely.

You must be able to Multitask, Communicate well with others, and be very Organized.

Must be an intermediate or better user of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Possess a state-issued driver's license and acceptable driving record to operate dealership-owned vehicles

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
