We currently have an opening for an the Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing inventory levels within the company to ensure product availability, reduce stockouts, and minimize excess stock. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory processes are efficient and effective. *The Wasserstrom Company is currently operating under a hybrid schedule that incorporates both teleworking and in-office hours. Employees may be required to report to the office when requested by leadership &/or for their initial job trainingKey Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track inventory levels, ensuring they are in line with business needs and demand forecasts.
- Analyze inventory trends, identify slow-moving or obsolete stock, and recommend adjustments.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and maintain accurate lead times.
- Prepare periodic forecasts based on historical data, sales trends, and upcoming product launches to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Generate and present reports on inventory performance, including stock turnover rates, order lead times, and inventory variances.
- Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to forecast inventory needs and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Recommend improvements to inventory management systems, policies, and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or a similar role.
- Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, AWR, NetSuite, etc.) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Knowledge of forecasting, demand planning, and supply chain best practices.
- Strong analytical, PCand problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
