**Position Summary:**

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Inventory Analyst performs inventory reconciliation processes ensuring the timely balancing of assigned fuel inventory units in the Atlantic Region. The Inventory Analyst analyses inventory transactions and balances inventory locations using a number of inventory reporting tools as well as work with the operations teams to ensure all the information available to analyze inventory balances within the Region. This position will also help identify improvements to Fuel and non-fuel inventory processes and assist in implementing those improvements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Analyses inventory transactions

* Performs variance analysis for unbalanced inventory locations

* Analyses trending data to identify problem areas

* Identifies breakdowns or bottle necks in current processes

* Proposes improvements to processes to reduce breakdowns and bottlenecks

* Communicates with operations groups to provide training on inventory processes and ensure accuracy of information

* Communicates with supply and distribution groups to resolve missing or incorrect purchases

* Create and distribute balancing exception reporting and various inventory reports to operations team

**Qualifications and Skills:**

* 2 years experience in inventory process management or process management

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* JD Edwards experience is an asset

* Experience with perpetual inventory systems is an asset

* Some accounting education or training preferred

* Completion of a Business degree an asset

* Exceptional attention to detail

* Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products
