Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Shipping and Receiving: Manage the shipping and receiving process, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, completeness, and condition. Ensure timely delivery of goods and materials to designated destinations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular inventory counts, and reconciling discrepancies. Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain shipping documents, such as bills of lading, shipping labels, and packing slips. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies regarding documentation and record-keeping.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with internal departments, such as procurement, warehouse, and transportation, to coordinate logistics activities effectively. Communicate with external partners, including carriers, suppliers, and customers, to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and handling customer requests related to logistics and shipping. Keep customers informed about the status of their shipments and delivery schedules.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the logistics function. Implement best practices and recommend changes to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all shipments meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods to identify any defects or discrepancies.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Identify potential hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks related to logistics operations.
  • Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
    • Proven experience working in a logistics or warehouse environment, preferably in a clerk or coordinator role.
    • Proficiency in using logistics software and systems for inventory management, tracking shipments, and generating reports.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to shipping, transportation, and inventory management.
