Job Description:
Job Title: Inventory Analyst Job Type: Full-Time About the Role This position plays a critical role in managing and optimizing inventory processes while collaborating closely with the accounting and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and be skilled in using ERP systems for inventory tracking and management. Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management:
    • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels to ensure alignment with production and customer demands.
    • Analyze inventory variances, investigate discrepancies, and propose corrective actions.
    • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • ERP System Utilization:
    • Use the ERP system to track and update inventory records digitally.
    • Identify and resolve system-related inventory issues, ensuring data accuracy.
    • Collaborate with IT to optimize ERP functionality for inventory management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with the accounting team to reconcile inventory reports and support month-end close activities.
    • Work with the quality assurance team to address inventory issues related to product quality and compliance.
    • Provide inventory insights to production, procurement, and sales teams to aid decision-making.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Evaluate current inventory procedures and identify opportunities for efficiency and accuracy.
    • Develop and implement best practices for inventory tracking and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in an inventory-focused role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems for inventory tracking (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other inventory management tools.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or just-in-time (JIT) inventory practices.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles related to inventory management.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes in a manufacturing environment.
