Job Overview:This position manages the flow of parts and materials to meet project demands and maintain optimal inventory levels across multiple sites. Responsibilities include receiving and organizing parts for immediate project needs (including drop shipments to the field) and managing stocked items for future requirements. Collaborating closely with Sales, Project Management, Supply Chain, Operations, and Warehouse teams, this role ensures timely material availability and accurate inventory management to support smooth operations. The ideal candidate fosters a collaborative, team-oriented environment, promoting consistent practices and a unified culture across all locations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Inventory Management & Parts Coordination

+ Develop and enforce inventory control policies to ensure accuracy and optimal stock levels.

+ Forecast demand and maintain optimal stock levels by monitoring inventory and organizing items for future projects.

+ Oversee audits, return programs, and protocols for handling excess or missing inventory.

+ Update inventory records and provide reports on stock levels, usage, and order histories.

+ Track and organize parts ordered for specific jobs to ensure timely availability for project requirements.

+ Coordinate drop shipments and manage the timely delivery of parts to field locations.

+ Oversee the return of unneeded parts due to design changes or excess stock, coordinating with project teams.

Fleet Management

+ Maintain ownership of the physical security of fleet vehicles including the monitoring of vehicle assignments and physical location.

+ Act as primary liaison with 3rdparty fleet vendors

+ Provide regular reporting on fleet performance, vehicle costs, maintenance schedules, and operational efficiency.

Data Analysis and Reporting

+ Analyze inventory data to forecast demand and support decision-making.

+ Develop and monitor KPIs to enhance performance.

+ Provide senior management with KPI reports and insights on stock levels, costs, and returns.

+ Utilize data analysis tools like Excel and Power BI to identify trends and drive improvements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

+ Partner with Procurement, Sales, Operations, and Warehouse teams to align inventory with business needs.

+ Train staff on inventory best practices and collaborate on team development to enhance effectiveness.

+ Ensure compliance with company standards and quality requirements in all parts handling and storage processes.

Process Improvement

+ Promote continuous improvement in efficiency and productivity.

+ Develop and maintain all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for consistent and efficient operations.

Travel:Approximately 10% travel required.

Education & Experience

+ Associate's degree in Inventory Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

+ 5+ years of inventory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

+ Certification in inventory management (e.g., APICS CPIM) is a plus.

Skills And Qualifications

+ Strong leadership skills focused on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

+ Advanced analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

+ Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail; self-starter with minimal supervision required.

+ Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems) and best practices.

+ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $55,000 - $75,000. The salary range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Adaptec Solutions considers factors including, but not limited to experience and geographic location.
