Job Summary: The Inventory Control Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the integrity of inventory records through regular cycle counts. This role involves verifying inventory quantities, identifying discrepancies, and working to resolve inventory-related issues. The Cycle Counter plays a critical role in supporting the efficiency and accuracy of warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Cycle Counting: •Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of inventory items as per the established schedule. •Accurately record count results and compare them to system quantities. •Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records. 2. Inventory Accuracy: •Ensure the accuracy of inventory records in the warehouse management system. •Update inventory records based on physical counts and adjustments. •Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. 3. Reporting: •Generate and analyze inventory reports to monitor inventory accuracy and trends. •Communicate findings and discrepancies to the Inventory Control Manager. •Provide regular updates on the status of cycle counts and inventory accuracy. 4. Process Improvement: •Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to identify opportunities for process improvements. •Implement best practices for inventory control and accuracy. •Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management processes. 5. Compliance: •Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. •Maintain a clean and organized work area. 6. Additional Duties: •Assist with other inventory control tasks as needed. •Support physical inventory counts during periodic inventory audits. Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus. •Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related field. •Strong attention to detail and accuracy. •Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and inventory software. •Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. •Ability to work independently and as part of a team. •Good communication and interpersonal skills. •Physical ability to lift and move inventory items as needed. Working Conditions: •This position is primarily based in a warehouse environment. •Requires standing, walking, and moving throughout the warehouse for extended periods. •May involve lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds.
