Nice to Have: Demonstrated use of Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) or other analytical tools Familiarity with surgical robotic systems Planning and Inventory Management SAP modules JOB DESCRIPTION As the Inventory Clerk, Service Operations, you will work on global efforts to align service inventory, facilitate product returns, transact service functions within SAP. Through these functions you will achieve objectives for service, inventory management, and operating goals. You will help to manage product returns, material history research, materials, deliveries, resolve inventory & service transaction conflicts, and complete SAP system transactions for service operations. You will also work closely with our Supply Chain, Finance, Field Returns team, Regional Service, and Distribution Center Operations teams to meet shared goals. Location: North Haven, CT Ability to travel: 0% (Domestic and International) You will: Execute inventory management processes and procedures Complete cycle count of inventory Track and measure inventory activity against key performance indicators Manage material movements and delivery for capital and spare part requests Collaborate closely with North Haven Field Returns team to plan inventory movements Deliver operational results to internal stakeholders Execute internal material movements within the SAP system and physically Operate at an exceptional level to improve operational efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability of the GRSS team. Support SAP Service and Business functions such as field service, repair in service center, returns management, refurbishment, intercompany returns, service contracts, repair pricing and billing, preventive maintenance, logistics and other service and repair activities Complete necessary training and tool use to achieve a world class team. Identify and act on opportunities, issues, and problems in a changing environment. DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS Autonomy: Seasoned individual contributor who provides assistance and training to lower level employees. Works under limited supervision, with no instruction needed on routine work and general instructions given on new activities. Thoroughly knows operating equipment and established operational procedures. Performs a wide variety of nonroutine clerical tasks and may support special projects or assignments in distribution center. Organizational Impact: Performs activities requiring considerable judgment and may have ownership of minor projects in manufacturing/production operations or distribution center. Work may include nonroutine activities related to new lines of work or special assignments. Innovation and Complexity: Problems faced are general, and may require some analysis to understand and resolve. Expected to independently propose solutions to problems for supervisor review . May be responsible for recommending making minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of own job area . Communication and Influence: Communicates typically with internal and external contacts, as needed. Obtains and provides information on matters of moderate importance to the job area. Leadership and Talent Management: Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area. Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires broad knowledge of operational systems and practices typically gained through prior work experience and/or education. Requires minimum of 3 years of experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience. May require vocational training and/or certification.
