DescriptionPurpose of role This inventory position will need an understanding of basic computer and data entry systems. This position will be responsible for managing customer account(s). They will be responsible for entering product information into our database. The accuracy of their work will affect the ability to perform a product trave or recall. This role is also an important participant to the success of our Food Safety and Food Defense plans. - Complete all required training to required standards (including but not limited to: Food Defense, AI Rule, Sanitary Transportation, Allergens, GMP's, Transportation breakdown/crisis management, Document control, Chemical control policy, Personal safety
- Enter all product information for inbound shipments including; date codes, description, quantity, storage location information requirements
- Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies
- Accept orders of our customers and allocate the appropriate product using our FIFO method
- Verify the accuracy of the orders once they are picked and ready to load
- Assist with recalls or product traces as needed
- Be an alternate/back-up for the shipping clerk when necessary

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a minimum of 6-12 months related experience
- Strong communication and excellent customer service skills
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook - experienced
- Basic math skills to count product
- The ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
- The ability to read product labels, warehouse forms, etc.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
