Job DetailsJob Location Manufacturing Facility - Moore, SC Position Type Full Time Salary Range $20.00 Description Takeuchi Mfg (US) Ltd, a global manufacturer of construction equipment, has launched its first North American assembly facility in Moore, SC. Takeuchi (pronounced Tok eh oo chee) is building a first-class workforce in a modern facility with an ideal work schedule. The Inventory Clerk, plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory records within our organization. The primary responsibility is to oversee the inventory levels, ensuring that stock levels are adequate for operational needs while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. Additionally, conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies. Job Duties:Inventory Management:
  • Receive, unload, and shelve incoming inventory items.
  • Ensure accurate recording of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas for efficient stock management.
  • Monitor inventory levels and generate reports on stock status.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and streamline operations.
Cycle Counting:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory items according to established schedules.
  • Utilize inventory management software or manual methods to accurately count stock.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Document findings and update inventory records accordingly.
  • Implement measures to prevent inventory discrepancies and improve accuracy in future counts.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management for inventory optimization and cost reduction strategies.
Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines in handling inventory items.
  • Follow established procedures for handling hazardous materials and perishable goods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in inventory storage areas to prevent safety hazards.
Communication and Collaboration:
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to coordinate inventory activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to resolve inventory related issues and optimize processes.
  • Assist in training new employees on inventory management procedures and protocols

QualificationsQualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in inventory management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, preferably in a warehouse or retail environment.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and recording inventory.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Physical Demands
  • Moderate to heavy physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, climbing steps or ladders, grasping, fine and course manipulation, reaching both forward and above head level,
  • Must be able to push, pull and/or lift up to 50 pounds; and safely operate assigned machinery.
  • Must be able to stand and work for long periods
  • Must be able to work in varying temperatures
