Monitor and adjust repair part inventory levels. Perform inventory cycle counts. Place requisitions and purchase orders, expedite parts and communicate delivery time frame to maintenance personnel. Additional responsibilities include the purchasing/negotiation functions related to repair parts and services using the Hexagon Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) computer system. Expedite repair parts or services needed per machine failure. Collaborate with Technicians and Supervisors on part identification and usage. Place requisitions, purchase orders, amend current purchase orders by changing dates, amounts or cancel existing orders to support the needs of the department. Determine if parts need to be inventoried. Search for best price and service. Work with corporate purchasing and negotiate with supplier for best price break and delivery available.
