Job Description:

Position OverviewDeSales Media is seeking a diligent and organized individual to join our team as an IT Inventory Control Agent to assist in the procurement, receipt, tracking, configuration, preparation, and distribution of mobile communications devices, accessories, computers (laptops, Chromebooks, tablets), network equipment (switches and routers, access points, etc.), in support of internal and external clients. You will also be advising on the best technology solutions for our internal and external clients and be responsible for advising Client relationships, implementing strategic initiatives, executing long-term programmatic planning efforts, strategically responding to emerging priorities, and operating within matrixed teams, both internally and externally.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide support in the areas of both Software licensing and Hardware Asset Management.Support, develop, and update best practices and analytics to support the analysis of hardware and software asset resources, portfolios, data, license compliance and optimization, contract management, risk mitigation, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement.Support the implementation of an integrated framework for support on software and hardware asset management, using dashboards, workflow, and processes. Tracking systems and methodologies and automation mechanisms.Support the strategy, oversight, development, and use of IT automation supported by legacy and emerging tools and platforms for all IT asset and portfolio management aspects.Support preparation and execution of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide coordination, training, and support on change management.The candidate must be a strong written and oral communicator, comfortable interacting with clients, and a confidant of senior consulting leadership.Generate supporting paperwork for obtaining price quotes, placing orders, and distributing inventory to qualified end users.Track expenditures against applicable contracts.Research and report on inventory available under existing supply contracts.Apply asset tags and log equipment into our inventory management system (Zeus).Issue specified equipment to designated end users and update the Inventory Management system with the new disposition.Perform initial configuration of devices before issuance.Register devices with security and device management applications.Prepare devices for shipping.Occasionally transport devices to end-user organizations such as churches, parochial schools, and Catholic agencies.RequirementsBachelor's degree in IT or related field.3+ Years of experience in IT Asset Management in a not-for-profit environment.Experience with mobile device management (MDM) environments such as Apple Device Manage / Apple School Manager, Cisco Umbrella, WorkspaceOne.Excellent writing capabilities and experience writing client-facing documents such as SOPS, training documents, etc.Valid driver's license.Ability to lift 40 pounds.Proficiency in MS Office applications - Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook.Prior experience in an inventory or supply contract management role is highly desirable.Desired SkillsProject Management training and familiarity with Project Management Tools (MS Project, Asana, Planner)Familiarity with bulk Apple and Samsung mobile device activation and deployment.Familiarity with Zeus Asset Tracking.Software licensing and/or software licensing managementability to researchAdvanced MS Excel skills including VBA programming.Seniority level Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in a comparable environment.Job Function Inventory Strategy/Planning/Management, Information Technology, and ConsultingIndustries IT Services and IT Consulting and Business Consulting and ServicesAbout DeSalesDeSales Media Group is the Technology and Communication arm of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn.
