DescriptionPosition Summary: The Inventory Control Associate will plan, coordinate, and purchase TCAH's inventory. They will also research best prices, monitor inventory levels, and distribute supplies. This position is a support-oriented position that reports to the Director of Programs. The ideal candidate has an unwavering commitment to TCAH's hunger relief and food justice mission, written and verbal communication skills, problem resolution skills, and a keen attention to detail. Position RequirementsTASKS:
- Assist the Management and Warehouse Team with an Inventory Control Project
- Oversee the inventory control, manage deliveries, inspect inventory and maintain accurate records of products
- Track items, parts and products
- Order inventory from vendors and suppliers and secure shipment arrival times
- Manage inventory by stocking and cataloging products for TCAH
- Perform quality checks on stored inventory and discard inventory that does not meet TCAH's standards
- Update inventory count and maintain inventory records to share with management and other stakeholders
- Report discrepancies in inventory that indicate theft, such as too little inventory at last count
- Implement loss prevention programs to prevent theft
- Obtain estimates and price details from different vendors to compare costs
- Research the accuracy of product details and test new products
- Design and implement an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures
- Examine the levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages
- Document daily shipments and deliveries to replenish inventory
- Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels
- Monitor inventory prices and ensure price is as stated on contract and/or invoice
- Prepare and file detailed records on procurement activity, quantity, and vendors
- Assist management with coordinating equipment and instrument repairs
- Assist management with obtaining new equipment and instruments
