Location: Lockport,IL, USA
Job Purpose: The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for conducting cycle counts and bin location audits, assisting in researching and reconciling inventory discrepancies and working with the Inventory Supervisor/Manager in any inventory related functions concerned with inventorying materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Performs physical counts of inventory items in order to maintain accurate inventory.
* Counts and reconciles randomly chosen or chosen part numbers and/or locations on a daily basis.
* Accurately inputs inventory control data to ensure inventory integrity.
* Completes necessary documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on-time.
* Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.
* Use of motorized equipment including: Order Picker, Sit-Down Forklift, Stand-Up Reach Truck
* Other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures, and contractual obligations.
* Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
* Utilize computer terminal to properly account for inventory issues, returns, and documentation.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in Inventory Control.
* Minimum 1-3 months related experience and/or training in warehouse environment.
* Experience operating a forklift and cherry picker/high lift.
* Experience using WMS software a plus (Synapse preferred).
* PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Access Database.
Education and/or Experience Required:
* High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to read and write emails.
* Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
* Forklift certification a plus.
