Inventory Control Clerk

Synerfac is seeking an Inventory Clerk for our client in Virginia Beach, VA. Our client provides on site power integration for large scale centers. * Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ensuring full traceability from receipt. * Establishes and maintains backup sources for all receiving paperwork. * Labelling, tagging and disposition of all materials received for put up in stocking locations. * Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify shortages or excessive inventory. * Provides receiving reports to purchasing and project management. * Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. * Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made and reports them to the appropriate departments. * Manages and maintains customer inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or materials manager. * Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical customer inventory. * Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits. * Operates forklift truck when necessary. * Performs other related duties as requested. Job Requirements * 4+ years of Inventory Control experience in manufacturing or industrial environment. * Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors. * Basic understanding of inventory control procedures. * Ability to develop professional relationships with outside vendors. * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Experience with computerized inventory systems required. * Experience with MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred. * Forklift operator certification * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. * Be able to sit at a desk and working on a computer over a long period of time.
