Position Overview:
The core responsibilities of this position are to maintain records in the ERP system, troubleshoot inventory discrepancies, and work with employees to establish and maintain good inventory practices. The person in this role will have opportunities to participate on cross-functional work teams, as well as provide basic inventory analysis to planners/buyers to assist in establishing optimal inventory levels. This position is also responsible for participation in year-end inventory audits.

What you'll do:
* Must maintain and comply with all safety rules at all times.
* Maintains inventory accuracy. Analyzes and determines root causes of inventory errors and works to recommend and implement solutions in order to continuously improve inventory accuracy.
* Execute and maintain cycle counting methodology, classifying inventory items, and monitoring for and correcting discrepancies.
* Provides organization and oversight for cycle count batches for the month-end, year-end, and any additional cycle counts as needed.
* Forms and leads teams to research specific inventory issues, recommend changes, implement corrective actions, and follow up as needed.
* Assures proper identification, quantity, and location for materials. Performs daily audits and provides reports and data analysis.
* Identifies slow moving and obsolete inventory, recommends alternatives for disposition of inventory, and amends item status.
* Works with internal/external staff on a wide variety of inventory activities. Resolves inventory discrepancies, data entry problems, customer returns, etc. Implements and monitors process improvements. Provides counsel to other departments as necessary.
* Works on special projects/assignments and serves as back-up to other staff as needed.
What you'll need:
* High School Diploma, three years' experience in related field, or equivalent.
* Demonstrated ability to utilize standard and specialized equipment used to perform job duties (i.e. computerized inventory systems). Ability to perform cycle counting activities and knowledge of processes involved.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making and organizational skills to deal with changing priorities and deadlines. Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy with data.
* Strong skills and experience with personal computers and business software to include Oracle or ERP equivalent, MS Word and MS Excel.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a valid hi-lo operator permit.
