SUMMARY The Inventory Control Clerk reviews and handles all mark outs and problem pallets through the computer system in collaboration with the operations team (clerks, leads, supervisors). Performs cycle counts, zero/slot checks, and other audits as necessary to ensure that inventory levels are correct. JOB DUTIES
- Performs slot checks to validate WMS versus physical inventory including: zero slot checks, less than standard, less than ten, seasonal clean out, and others as needed. Systemically adjusts inventory to resolve EXE versus physical inventory discrepancies.
- Researches and resolves mark outs using the WMS and access tools--in their area of responsibility. Completes mark out process in WMS or fills resolved mark out. Works with Operations to avoid further mark outs.
- Handles the problem pallet area (abandonments and kick outs) to determine root cause and make the necessary system action needed to get the pallet/box to the proper location.
- Process damages and less than standard items by completing and logging issue and assigning product to damages for destruction or BSP box and store for shipping.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Stand or walk on concrete for 8-12 hours per day
- Climb flights of metal stairs and/or metal ladders
- Operate a computer or other office machinery such as a printer
- Sit, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull and twist
- Lift and move 65 lbs. unassisted and 75 lbs. assisted
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience Minimum: 0-2 years of inventory control or warehouse experience Experience Preferred: 1-2 years of inventory experience in a distribution environment
