Position Title: Inventory Control Clerk Exempt Status: Non Exempt Accountable To: Inventory Control Supervisor Job Summary: The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for overseeing and maintaining accurate inventory levels in the DC. This is done by consistent slotting of items, auditing stock, and providing support to Transportation, Customer Service, and Procurement. Must be willing to work in freezer environment. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Complete inventory cycle counts
- Investigate and resolve shortages, overages, and mis-pick discrepancies
- Complete, file, sort and/or distribute daily paperwork in a timely manner
- Process invoices and credits for remote drivers
- Conduct audits and adjust inventory
- Make print screens for items in question from the Outs and Negatives
- Provide coverage for Day Warehouse Manager and Customer Service when necessary
- Monitor and maintain special order items and seasonal items
- Check deleted stock items and delete slots to make room for new product
- Organize new and discontinued bins to ensure smooth operation of order selection
- Update inventory, research discrepancies, and slot new items
- Effectively and proactively communicate with employees, Category Managers, Transportation, Customer Service, Procurement, etc.
- Receiving of Fortune Fish orders as needed
- You will be expected to learn all aspects of the IC department
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to understand and perform each job within the Distribution Center
- Proficiency in computer software and data entry systems
- Experience with warehouse management systems preferred
- Knowledge of inventory control and supply chain management
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem solving, multi-tasking, and analytical skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as bending, lifting and standing for long periods of time
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Must possess strong basic math and administrative skills
Education & Experience:
- Previous leadership working in a distribution center preferred
- Minimum 2 years of inventory experience
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required
