**Job Description:**

**POSITION SUMMARY**

The Inventory Lead is responsible for the daily oversight of inventory to include receiving, material handling, shipping, parts issuance and schedule adherence.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Researching inventory discrepancies and making necessary corrections.

* Maintaining Inventory Accuracy Metrics and associated reports for management (and client as appropriate).

* Support process improvements and Integrate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy and timeliness.

* Ensure production staff is apprised of discrepant issues and patterns as they relate to processes and controls.

* Active participation in the research, recommendation and implementation of controls and audits

* Ensure cycle count root cause and mitigation are supported .

* Maintaining varying schedules in support of production support and shipping.

* Oversight and training of multiple areas within inventory to include Receiving, Job Pulling and Part Sales Shipping.

* Conduct daily gemba updates.

* Support discrepancies to include research through resolution.

* Active engagement in process improvement recommendations

* Must be able to lift 50 lbs. as part of the job function.

* Must be able to pass the forklift certification test and drive a forklift on a daily basis

* Oversee all inventory accounts and records as they apply to daily responsibilities

* Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

**Education:**

High School Diploma or Equivalent

**Experience and Skills:**

* General computer experience; Microsoft Office experience preferred.

* Experience with ERP systems.

* Ability to present written information in a clear and legible fashion.

* Ability to follow work instructions and procedures to complete tasks.

* Ability to research and present recommendations to improvements and controls

* Ability to read basic blueprints or schematics

* Ability to operate hand/fork trucks

* Ability to operate cranes, saws and pneumatic staple/nail guns.

**Personal Attributes**

* Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

* Work occasional evenings and weekends to meet deadlines

**Physical Requirements**
